Spatial Design & Planning

We translate how you move, gather, and rest into clear floor plans, lighting layers, and circulation before any finishes are locked so every square foot earns its place.

Overview

Spatial design is the invisible structure behind a beautiful room. We study sightlines, daylight paths, storage adjacencies, and how traffic flows between kitchen, living, sleep, and work zones then propose two or three layout directions with honest pros and cons, not a single “take it or leave it” plan.

Lighting is planned as part of space, not an afterthought: ambient washes, task pools where you read and prep, and accents that highlight art or joinery. Deliverables include dimensioned plans, key elevations, reflected ceiling intent, and a specification narrative your contractor and joinery shop can price accurately.

How we work

A clear sequence from first conversation to site-ready documentation tailored to this service line.

  1. Discovery & site measure

We walk the space with you, capture dimensions and services positions, and document how you use each zone today where bags land, where light fails at dusk, and what must not move.

  2. Spatial options & circulation

Two or three layout schemes explore different furniture anchors, storage walls, and door swings. We test circulation for daily routines and entertaining so pinch points are resolved early.

  3. Technical layering

Chosen direction is developed with lighting circuits, joinery zones, and coordination grids for HVAC and AV. You receive clear drawings your build team can tender without guesswork.

Final review against budget and programme, then a locked drawing set and specification summary handed to joinery and site ready for procurement and site marking.
